I used to drive my Australian housemates nuts by leaving the Skype, Intel and other logo stickers on my shitty Toshiba laptop. I don't know what it is with Australians, but they feel entitled to comment and criticize anything they see, and they get all upset when others don't conform to their preferences.

Protip: avoid Toshiba like the plague. Holy shit was that machine ever a pile of garbage. Priced cheaper for the CPU & GPU, and for good reason as it turned out.

Oh, and fuck you for that one.

I developed a bulged disc in my neck after decades of computer use. It ended my career for years. Using a standing desk really improved my situation. Now I want an Ikea sit/stand, so I can change my setup throughout the day.

On paper it's a great idea, but it's not executed right. People with perfect health in a normal workspace get because sitting is 'linked' to many issues. People work all day at standing desks and end up standing too much and either keep it up to feel unique, get rid of it, or convert to sitting and never use the standing form again. Few actually use it right and it just seems like one big gimmick. I understand human's aren't built to sit all day, but they evolved to be able to sit, and not getting up and stretching or getting outside enough is you're own problem unless there's a medical issue.

I can see people giving up on the standing desk once the novelty wears off, but that also happens to people that get a gym membership at the beginning of the year.

I'm simply more productive when I'm standing and I do feel like less of a fat ass at the end of the day.
