I use it, I've been torrenting for over 2 years. Nothing has happened to me. Becore cuckcast sent me two warnings about stealing from the giant hollywood jews. Now I haven't gotten a single message. I always use 256 aes encryption over UDP and switch servers every now and then so fat chance anyone cracking that shit.

I also use port 8080 for extra sneakiness.
