/g/ i need ideas. my fucking POS laptop appears to have died on me.

>watch monsters inc. shits fine and glorious
>fall asleep
>next morning laptop is still plugged into charger but...
>no power LEDs, not even to indicate charging
>wont turn on at all
>tried cold boot, removing battery and holding power button
>nothing

is it dead? how the fuck do i diagnose this?

this is what i was worried about. just thought i'd check to amke sure i wasn't missing anything. it's insured anyway so it's ok, was just supposed to be playing a set on it at a rave tomorrow and now im fucked.

Take your HDD out, open it, take the disk out, and put it in a new laptop with a CD reader. Problem solved

I work comp repair. Your board overheated and it desoldered itself. Either replace the board or bake it to reflow the solder. Better off buying a new board though.
