Question. I'm trying to get internship at a GD company, and I'm wondering if I can use fonts & pictures that I do not own in my CV?

Ex. Made a couple of magazine covers, but the pictures aren't mine, and I didn't pay for the font.

Since I'm not a photographer (and got no cash to hire one), I like to use pics I find on flickr or whatever, but never for commercial work.

Does my CV count as commercial work? I mean, I'm not exactly making money of that specific product, just using for referance, to showcase layout.

Is there any risk to that?

I made the logo here. I was following mostly Nintendo's logo design with the red colors and simple design, but I don't mind what colors or design you use for this.

Help me choose a logo for a healthy drink advertised for teens?

This is my first attempt at designing a newsletter.

My assignment was to make a four page newsletter for my school, this is my progress on the cover and first spread.

There is a big stone obelisk in the center of the campus that is incorporated into the school's logo. So I thought placing it into the center of the spread might be a good idea or something, but now I'm regretting the obelisk and huge ass ribbon.

What else could I do with the obelisk where it is now, or where else could I put it?

Also if you don't like the design as a whole, just rip it apart and tell me what I should've done.

Hey /gd/, I just bought Illustrator and I want to learn how to use it. I have some experience in Photoshop, but nothing pro level, and I want to switch to Illustrator. Can you guys give me some basic tips and techniques? Or a link to good a tutorial.
