>>235198I've been using Wacom for longer than I want to admit (my first one was serial, not USB). I won't buy anything else, they last forever - the pen will wear out, but can be replaced.
If money is an object, get the entry level Wacom - the only difference with the more expensive ones is often the control buttons and such, which aren't that crucial to get started with. The Bamboo or whatever the entry level one is fine - I still have one in my laptop bag for when I'm not home.
My current Wacom is a 24" HD Cintiq. Best piece of technology I've ever bought. You can't compare it to anything else, except actual paper and a pencil.
