Chrome builds a list of sites that have malicious software housed on them.. scan the file with windows defender or malwarebytes or whatever virusfuck.exe you have and make sure.. chances are it's red-flagging it becuase it's from ge.tt

Does anybody have Verdana Pro as a family? So that in the system it is one font with multiple styles.

I found a torrent but it gives me all the styles as separate fonts, and it completely messes up my font list in CC and my workflow.

I actually researched this not too long ago. It looks like both this and the FHWA Series fonts that are currently being used aren't sold to the general public, only to contractors who have been approved to make actual road signs. So the chances of this being uploaded somewhere on the net are slim.

I've used GitHub for ages but I only just realized how many people push ALL their font files to their web dev repos. Here's a big ol dump of:

In a type design class the professor literally just gave us all the fonts we had to choose from for various projects lmao. So here is:

Some of those files in the second list are kind of fucked or are PostScript but hey, they work and all have the full glyph set afaik

Getting into typesetting, first ordeal will be choosing appropriate fonts that I like.

Anyone have a megapack as a safety net to start with? Some other anon uploaded his fonts, and there's also one on TPB. Just wondering about any really great, but expensive, fonts that might be floating around that I should consider.

Installing packs of 500+ font will just fuck your computer up. Trust me, u better pick and choose only usefull one.

The expensive ones aren't always the better tho. I use to work with 10 approx. different fonts. no more.

10 Fonts? System fonts are in the hundreds. But I can be a good creativity method. Choose a few fonts and just design with those... and fuck Helvetica.

Font packs are pretty risky. Don't believe the whole "most expensive fonts ever" garbage because:

A) price shouldn't matter.

Judging by price is like reading the "Top Albums of the Year" list from Rolling Stone. It's always the same people. Bob Dylan has album of the year, every year.

When was the last time you looked at Times New Roman and said "Man, those old Romans must've been pieces of shit..."

B) You're going to default to what you know. Even worse, Illustrator (any Adobe product, really) will take forever to load.

Would suggest starting with finding Adobe FontFolio which does give you a good selection of fonts that are good quality and it's easy to find. Install from that whatever you feel is essential.

Then get Gotham.

First of all you need a good program to handle your fonts. Things like fontexplorer x allows you to storage all the fonts, without installing them, if you need to use them, you simply activate them, for the project you are running.

Okay that Skolar Sans is messed up, the metadata is fucked.
General question: If I just fix the Family and SubFamily names of all the otf files will that be enough? Because none of the glyphs have a postscript name defined, will that be a probelm?

I just checked on other fonts, seems it'll be good, imma gonna try that later.
