Made a small website - the logo is still crappy

Made a small and useless website. But it is good fun when a lot of people playing.. I just made a small logo in gimp, do you have got an idea how to improve it?

Make it in a vector, or at least 2048x2048. It's tiny.

Took a swing at a more modern look at it. Removed the gradient and made it look more flat overall.

The design itself is going to look bad flat, shade appropriately to give a 3d look, like the smaller part is further away from the other two spheres, that will give the design substance. Going from a flat bland design, to a logo.
