Only if you actually have 10-12 good pieces.

Do NOT fluff up your portfolio with shit just to get more projects on there. Your portfolio is you saying "this is the best I can produce". A student portfolio with 4 great pieces is much more enticing than one with 4 great pieces and 6 mediocre ones.
