/gd/ pls help me

see pic related? The black part is an outline, the red part is the object. But the blue lines do not line up with it for some reason. Also whenever I change the outline, like making it fatter, my object will move one px down/left. I can't work like this and I we can't figure out why it does that.

Do you know what's going on?
