This is my first attempt at designing a newsletter.

My assignment was to make a four page newsletter for my school, this is my progress on the cover and first spread.

There is a big stone obelisk in the center of the campus that is incorporated into the school's logo. So I thought placing it into the center of the spread might be a good idea or something, but now I'm regretting the obelisk and huge ass ribbon.

What else could I do with the obelisk where it is now, or where else could I put it?

Also if you don't like the design as a whole, just rip it apart and tell me what I should've done.
