1. the script will probably be lazily written
2. the director will probably be a lazy, George Lucas-style director.
3. the studio was too lazy to cast someone who was at least East Asian (much less Japanese), a sign that not only will the 2 previous points be true, but that they'll be lazy in other, smaller aspects of the film that will add up to everything, including Scarlett's performance, being shit.
(Not that Scarlett is a bad actor; she's actually really good, but that won't mean much if the lines she has to deliver are shit, the director won't do their job in helping her portray the character, and all she has to stare at is blue-screen nothingness and therefore has nothing to react to.)
