Everything you see around you- cars, ads, prom dresses, the Chrysler building, bicycle pumps, soap bottles, iPhones, socks, book covers- they exist because some designer or group of designers sat down with a pen and drew them. Old gothic cathedrals, Iranian palaces with arabesques,the Taj Mahal, and all the intricate beauty of the world came from the artists. While society does need the more "objective" thinkers- the engineers, scientists, businessmen, teachers, so on- we can't forget this.
