tablet comfort

No.2258640 ViewReplyReportDelete
I've had my wacom tablet for 3 years now and I still can't draw on it comfortably. I can't draw straight lines or perfect circles, most of the strokes don't go the way I want them to.

What is the problem here? I know it needs some time get used to but 3 years? (I haven't been practicing so much on digital in these 3 years but still...).
Do you have any tips, exercises, or anything that would help someone increase their control and comfort over his strokes on a tablet? I'm really desperate for anything.

pic related. it's my setup, I have the tablet positioned on the right side, not on middle.

Help me decide a composition!

No.2263024 ViewReplyReportDelete
Hey I'm having troubles deciding on a composition for this picture I want to do. Basically, the story is there's this robot lady who killed a person in the woods. She realized after the fact that she didn't have to, and is sitting there pondering existence and such. Meanwhile the persons family or whatever stumble across his body and she sits there listening to them and she gets all sad n stuff.

OK so which of these do you think works best? The two colored ones down below are my potential color schemes.

Creativity

No.2262593 ViewReplyReportDelete
How do you overcome any kindof creativity block. Rendering is fine and dandy but it's not what art is all about.

Are there any good resources on how to deal with this (not just feelgood feces cranked through a blender to be spoon fed) or any resources for exercises and tools that artists can use to create something outside of being over-neurotic about creating art?

What are the most beautiful and technically perfect drawings you have ever seen?

The skull studies of Leonardo are, in my opinion, some of the best art works of all time.

Alternative Art/Stylization General

No.2259148 ViewReplyLast 50ReportDelete
This thread is meant for artists who might want to try to make stylized work in-between their studies. It is strongly recommended that you use this thread in conjunction with learning the elements and fundamentals of art. You can also discuss the visual elements of various professional artists as well if you keep it relatively articulate and civil.

So I'm new to digital art.
I been watching Ctrl+paint videos but now I'm wandering is I should continue with those and keep using photoshop or move to sai and study from different tutorials.
