Can you guys help me out on some comparative anatomy? I'm trying to figure out how a Minotaur's head muscles would work. I think the body is "ok", but the face is giving me a beating. Any leads? I guess it would be good exercise for anyone trying to do some studies on fantastic creature's anatomy.

Hey p/ic/asso's - Need advice on linework: Newbie so might still need to get used to digital pen point, but seems if I feather slow it gets "clumpy", and fast I lose solidity (pic related). Any input/tips on how to make linework look better greatly appreciated!

>>2259111 Try to do your lines in one stroke. That's the beauty of digital, you can just do it a hundred times until you get what you want.
Also learn to draw before you colour/ render.

When you want to make a line you don't have to plan your line with actual lines on the page. Just hover your pencil ever so slightly above the paper and do the line a couple times without actually doing it As if you were going to hit a golf ball with a club, you practice it a couple times till you feel you've got a good shot Also you're still symbol draw, I recommend you google planes of the head and draw a bunch of stuff like that, but the key thing is to be thinking of the 3d aspect of it. To check if you've got it down try to draw one at an angle you don't have a reference for from imagination

Will look into the resources (also see Loomis recommended everywhere, not sure if meme) and just keep practising.

This has probably been talked about before. But I've been doing a lot of research in regards to perspective and I'm kind of confused as to what to do when something is not parallel to the horizon line. Take for instance this picture. The truck and trailer, as well as most of the concrete barriers would fall onto the same two perspective lines if you were to draw it out. But you see that one concrete barrier is cockeyed a bit. And would not fall on the same two vanishing points. Would the points then be moved for things that aren't parallel in order to draw it properly in perspective? How would you measure it out so it matches the other barriers? Or would you simply draw it as if it was in the same vanishing point line and simply rotate it from that point to where it is resting right now?
Anonymous
>>2257778 once you master that you can then you can then start to worry about horrendous fucking nightmare that tilted perspective is. Objects having vanishing points in completely arbitrary points that are not connected at all to the horizon line...
Anonymous
>>2257831 Dude fucking tilted perspective is a bitch and a half. You're almost better eyeballing it half the time.
Anonymous
Quoted By:
Vanishing points don't actually exist, neither do horizon points these are just just tools used for perspective. Every object has it's own vanishing point but things generally facing the sameway can be grouped into the same vanishing point A good way to think of vanishing points on wacky angles and stuff is to imagine some laser pointers on the corners of the rectangular containment of the thing you're drawing creating the vanishing point.

What style of art is No Man's Sky considered to be? I find these high contrasting flat colors, visual depth through layers, and such, I really would like to find more of this style, but I don't know what it's called.

Is it really possible to make pencil lines appear as ink through Photoshop?
Anonymous
Quoted By:
That was like the first thing I learned to do on photoshop. Mind you I learned long ago that, for just about any situation, a filter or scipt or whatever is never going to match putting in the time to do it by hand, even if you aren't that good.
Anonymous
>2nd panel is identical to the 3rd, no traditional inking was actually involved >"dat" "da" "dis" Whoever made dis is a faggot.

>>2259063 I did, and there's a tiny speck under the breasts that doesn't match too, but I don't believe for a second that the second panel was actually inked traditionally.
