One of the best things to keep in mind while painting, for me, is a process. I can get all over the place pretty easily and fuck all up if I not pay attention to that. I can also work way faster that way.
Besides that, one thing I still need to learn before painting is to define a color palette and stick to it.
>>2265510I don't think so. I think that depends entirely on your skill level, subject and if you already have a fanbase. If I do fanart or portrait from photos I can probably get more likes than with stuff I really enjoy doing, even knowing that what I enjoy is better, but I don't have a fanbase yet. And I think this is the same for every artist out there probably.
For example, what you think will get more attention: Wes Burt drawing fanart from Marvel, Start Wars, etc or hes original stuff?
