u kidding? Velasquez is a bit of a god. Are you going to madrid to see him? That's where I saw a lot of his work and although he didn't impress me before that (seeing him on a pc screen) when looking at his work in person you might pop a rock hard boner here and there. Just know that Sargent was told by Carolus Duran to study the fuck about Velasquez, regardless of wether he 'liked' him or not. Basically technical painting wise Velasquez was the G back in his days.

He is most often remembered for this painting. Had a huge crowd infront of it.

I'm not going to Madrid, he's coming to my country with a bunch of other Spanish painters.
The museum has very nice exhibitions, so I think I'll quite enjoy this one as well.
I doubt Las Meninas will be there.

I don't know if popping a boner will happen.
For now only Newman and Rothko hold that special place in my heart.

It was my first introduction to modern art when I was younger.
Rothko's paintings made such a big impression on me at the time.
I'm a calm, quiet person, his and Newman's paintings are simple and strong

I honestly can't think of a single good digital artist who doesn't at least also draw traditionally. I find it pretty hilarious how tradfag purists actually feel superior for drawing traditionally, when literally every digital artist they hate so much does it better than them.
