Does it work in figure drawing from life if you use Loomis' principles of building a mannequin frame and then remembering the muscle shapes and skin characteristics and combining this anatomical knowledge with what you see? Like you look at the overall posture of your figure and you build a mannequin frame first.
I see a disparity between this method and the one mentioned in drawing in the right side of the brain where you kinda just try to draw what you see, maybe with some measurements, instead of building the figure inside out.
The same goes for faces, can you actually successfully draw faces from life if you use the ball and plane method and add the features and their correct spacings as you see them? Doesn't this create proneness for symbol drawing?
