>>2262462Yeah Peck's book is a classic for a reason. Very clear and accurate diagrams of all the bones and muscles and he shows them from a variety of angles. He also has some useful information and tables for insertions and origins, and he has some pencil pages between sections that are full of little bits of information and diagrams that show some very useful tidbits in understanding things or on how some forms might change or appear in certain positions. Highly recommend the book. Keep in mind it is very scientific though (he was a medical doctor). I suggest getting something like Bridgman or Vilppu as well and using them in conjunction. Peck will teach you anatomy, but not a ton about figure drawing.
Loomis is super hit or miss. There's certainly a ton of good info in there but whether it "clicks" for you or not is another matter. Also a lot of the information in his books is actually best suited for intermediate artists despite the fact that people recommend him for beginners.
