Last week I downloaded a color swatch app (Spectrum) because I'm new to both digital and coloured art. I'm starting to moving away from graphite sketches.
Anyway: this app can create a swatch (anywhere from like 1 to 35 colours I think) based on any photo or image you give it. I'm fuckin obsessed man. At first I was just curious to check out the colour schemes for some movie stills I have saved. A few days later I have a growing library of colour swatches based on so many images I've saved over time. For some reason it is so satisfying. And the best part is giving them names. Finding a good evocative or ironic or clever name for a colour swatch is now my new hobby.
So I definitely fuck wit colour swatches now.
