What does /ic/ think of imagine fx? How useful or necessary is it really to becoming a good artist? Are there other better alternatives?

Does anybody find it useful at all? I checked out a few older issues and there was too few information and it was pretty generic, pretty much what you'll find in free Youtube videos.
I'm not sure if a magazine format is viable nowadays.

I'm always amazed when I see these type of magazines have their obligatory manga issue, and always managing to get the worst art out there, or art that's more some western cartoon/anime hybrid that's ugly as sin.

I mean do they even try?

As if your art is any better than whats in those magazines. As if a magazine will ever reach out to you to put your art in an issue, let alone on the front cover. As if you try to actually get such opportunity.

Subscribed for like a year. 1 or 2 good workshops average per issue, with the rest being filler. Sometimes 3-4 good workshops per issue, sometiems 0. It's better to check it out at your local book/magazine store and purchase individual issues.
