There was a discussion about Americas/America again?
Let's just settle this: In the modern english language, America just means the USA. Old texts use it for the whole continent, but nowadays the common use is that, deal with it.
Also, there are not only 6 continents, there are many continental models, and a few of them use America as a single continent, so if you are talking with geography majors or something it's common to hear it. It is as much of a valid continent as Eurasia, for example.
