White, great nature, comfy people, low cost of living, unique culture (especially if you get up to da UP and meet the Yoopers), good food and craft beer scene, tons of water activities at your fingertips year round. Michigan is also politically diverse; we have some very conservative areas as well as the typical liberal college towns.
Although I would say the best part of Michigan is we have 4 distinct seasons.
Our summers are perfect temperatures; not too hot or too cold.

Spring is the great melting and return of color/warm temperatures.
The only downside of Michigan is it's not easy to get a job in every field. Depending on what you do, your position might be in demand out here or you might not find work at all.
