AMERICANS!

The company I'm working for will be doing a business trip to NYC in February and I've been offered to go. I don't have to and wouldn't really have anything to do there, so half my day would be listening to shit that doesn't concern me and the rest of the day I'd be free to do whatever I want. Flight and hotel would be covered by the company.

It would be 3 days, not counting the flights. I don't know shit about New York apart from Lady Liberty and the Empire State Building. What is there to see and do? Is a massive jetlag worth going there for 3 days?

What do you guys think, because I have absolutely no idea.

NYC is great for tourists. I would strongly suggest you take that opportunity. Look on tripadvisor for things to do.

This, if for nothing else it's a free trip to a place you haven't been. Just a tip though, stick to the subway as long as there isn't a delay it's the quickest way around the city.

It's worth the trip. Some of the restautants there alone are worth it.

Just trust your instinct. If a guy or neighborhood looks seedy it probably is. But all the tourist spots are fine. Just watch for pickpockets and don't take pictures with any of the twats posing for pictures in times square

This, go to the Met it's really nice. They have a "recommended" entrance fee which means you don't actually have to pay it. Just hand the guy a dollar to not look too cheap and as a donation.
