Hey, Krauts. I need help with some books. I took four years of German in HS. I got straight A's and B's but I never used it after graduation, which was two years ago. I started brushing up over the summer using a combination of old notes, a grammar textbook, and Duolingo. I'm like a week or two away from finishing the Duolingo course and I think I'm ready to read something. The three I'm thinking about are Siddhartha, Metamorphosis, and Er ist Wieder Da. Of the three, which one would you recommend I start off with? Or if you have another recommendation, I'd be glad to hear it. Danke, fam.
