Doesn't matter. Viking doesn't mean nordic person from the viking age, it refers to a person going viking. Many scandinavians weren't vikings (but farmers, craftsmen etc.), and not all vikings were scandinavians (Finnish/estonian raiders who caused trouble in Denmark were called "vikings of the east" in the annals)

the biggest advantage of england is that, they are on separated island. It is rainy and cold, and serious conqueror from the past doesn't had a real motivation beside simple ambition to get it.

This simple fact gave them enough of peacefull time to work, so they made an empire. But now, when the world went full global, they almost doesn't count again. This is just a dump for cheep people without a concept, used for easy money.

Because every Great Power needs cannon fodder. Anglo-Saxons produced some top notch quality leaders and scientists, but that's due to the massive class divide that resides within their culture. Modern Britain did well in uplifting the middle classes, but the lower/working classes shouldn't really get a voice outside of Unions.
