That's not because of indians. It's because the city won't allow high density development leading to a housing crisis. This is the direct result of the city underinvesting in mass transit.

The hope in the 415 is that MUNI gets a billion dollars to build a proper heavy subway line, or that BART does a 19th/Geary extension. Caltrain's DTX into Howard St. will start next year and the Central Subway (underground light rail) should be running by 2017.

I thought Canada was French until I went to Alberta a few years ago. Remember, most Americans think of "Canada" as dominated by Qubec as we only learn about you when schools go over the French-Indian war. If you were to ask the average American, they'd say Montreal was Canada's largest city/capitol and not Calgary.
