It was to be yet another case where a third world corrupt government would use foreigners as scapegoats for drug trafficking (while they had no idea the stuff had be put on their plane/luggage) and thus intend to score cheap political points. In this case the unfortunates were two French pilots. The "Dominican Republic" was ready to put them 20 years in jail for the crime of being whites in the wrong place at the wrong time.
But they escaped.
And can now face real justice in France while seeing their family and receiving medical care.

Only downside is that two other Frenchmen remain under the Dominican yoke. I pray they stay strong in the face of injustice.
