>>49963321I know it sounds like that, but I didn't mean to generalise. If I am tbh (to be honest), making youtube paid (I know it's not even what's happening) would do more harm than good and one part of me keeps telling me, let the dumb stay dumb, natural selection will do it's thing. But when I see kids waste their hours watching others play vidya or talk shit, I get this parental feel.
I'm not against youtube, or youtubers as a phenomenon. It's the dumb ones with zero (0) value that seems to be triggering me.
>>49963323Shitposting, as shit as it sounds, is a direct, somewhat real-time interaction with people and I don't know about you, but I'm doing it along with other countless things. I'm not just sitting here waiting for the posts to show up to reply to.
And while videos can be "watched" in background and essentially used as radio, suddenly not being able to view videos on youtube would do no harm, as there are gorillions of podcasts on the internet.
What I'm trying to criticise are kids who sit in front of really dumb videos and do nothing else.
And yes, I think dumb games are just as bad when it comes to children. Adults usually make use of simple games when they need to turn their brains off after work, but some children, who should be exploring the world, spend hours every day watching somebody else play games. That's several levels worse than just playing the dumb games yourself, because while playing them, you can at least train your simple logic, or reflexes.
>i have heard some not so nice voices tbh her's is quite nice but that all is subjective>not nicedescribe
