Settlements on uninhabited clay, past and present

Hello /int/. I have a strange question, but just let me set it up first.

There many uninhabited, or almost-uninhabited places in the world. Desert islands, and so on. Some of them have never really been lived on by people, AFAIK: Bouvet Island, Clipperton Island. Places like those.

However, some of these places have supported human life at one point or another, even if not for long. American sealers and sailors actually lived on the Heard and Macdonald islands for a time, for example.

So here's the question: What are the names of the main settlements, or /former/ settlements of these places, where applicable? Look at how this link gives "Willis Island" where there's a manned weather station, and Atlas cove, an anchorage in the above. That's exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for.

The places I'm most interested in are pic related; I can explain what any of these cells mean if anyone wants.
