I can't believe how underrated is Italy. It has arguably contributed more to civilization and mankind than any other nation. They didn't just spawn Rome, an advanced society that basically made massive advances in about everything and if that wasn't enough they spread them all across Europe, but also gave us the Renaissance, a true cultural and artistic rebirth that created modern science.
There's nothing sadder that seeing some idiotic barbarian that lived in Africa-tier huts until a few generations ago bragging about how much richer and better his country is or genuinely believing his souless tribe of inhuman self-hating alcoholic autists they call a country is the pinnacle of the human species.
Civilization and progress isn't just material, and history matters because our very existence comes from its development. Italy deserves much more credit than /int/ is willing to admit.
