They are nothing because we expect nothing from them. We don't hold them accountable for their actions, we smile and nod and say yes when they say/do retarded shit because its easier than dealing with the alternative.
Essentially they are treated like children, and have fallen into the role with all the grace and tact you would expect from modern western women.
