what's the point of working in nordic countries when everything is paid for by the government and 70% of your income is taken away then when you buy anything the government takes another 30% VAT?

What is this even supposed to mean?
I get poor people insurance and pay nothing. My copays are $0, my prescriptions are $1. There's even federally mandated max time periods I'm allowed to wait to see a doctor and specialist(my doctor cannot make me wait more than 3 days for anything besides a general checkup, for example.)

There's also way less property taxes in Nordic countries than in the US, which accounts for a lot of the tax difference for normal workers.

Problem is that with my income (105k) I'd end up paying more in taxes for "free healthcare" than the amount I pay for insurance a year.
