to be fair skiing used to be quite popular here despite how flat it is. a mix of cross country skiing and making do with the few hills we do have. died out within the last 50-70 years though

sure you're not going to get the same skiing experience here that you would in colorado, but you still can ski anywhere there's enough snow

In NoVA we get a bit of snow every year, and about once every 7 years there's a big storm.

The schools try to open the first time it snows, but the drivers are so horrible that we usually get bus crashes (last year like 30~ schoolbuses crashed in one morning) so they end up cancelling if they even see a flake.

February is usually our heaviest month.
But big storm up here is like 5 inches in a day, whereas I mean those times when it comes like 12-16 inches nonstop over a day.
