>>49998877The idea is that it would benefit Siberia, Northern Canada, and the midwestern US by way of all the restaurants, hotels, petrol stations, rest stops, resorts, factories, stockhouses, shuttle buses, etc. that would be built along it. It could cause a population and economic boom in those areas. The key word there is "maybe" though, and it would be humongous disaster if it didn't work out.
