But at the end of the day, the king of Hungary identified him as Vlach and, in the same diploma, he mentions a cuman and slavs so he can't have made a mistake. But to muddy things further, the earlier rulers were identified as Seneslav and Litovoi which are slavic, but also a man named Barbat, who was brother of Litovoi and had a latin name that nobody around us used. And then there's one guy named Farcas, who was said to be vlach but had a hungarian name.
It's all really complicated, thanks to us being illiterate assholes and relying on others to write about us.
