They have 10 amp and 15 amp version for hungry electronics like TVs. But most people buy the 10 amp version and simply cut the middle pin.
The government shoved down our throats this new standard, so now we have to do things such as pic related to make them work on the classic sockets.
This shit was only useful for new apartments who have grounding implemented from the beginning. Even then if you move in to a new apartment, you gonna have to buy adapters for all your electronics.
