Theoretically, if the government prioritizes it and tables a bill to legalize it as soon as they get into power in November, it could be passed in about 4-6 months.
But that won't happen because the bill has to be planned and thought out. They are just starting to plan it out now. So realistically, yeah it'll probably about a year if we are lucky, 2 at most
