>>50028705most states have a lottery funded scholarship that pays for the majority of tuition with the only requirement being you need to have a not completely hopeless GPA coming out of highschool (like 3.0 I think. in my state you got more if you were 3.3 or higher). I finished my undergrad in 4 years majoring in chemistry and even picked up a minor in Biology (I went to class every summer though) and all in all It cost me $7,325.68 for the 8 regular semesters +3 summer semesters and seeing as how that was spread out over 4 years I was able to get by with minimal help from my parents.
The no job meme is only applicable if you either
1. Majored in something heavily saturated or useless like Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, Psychology, or journalism
2. Didnt use your time in college correctly and failed to network, obtain relevant experience in your field, and built up relationships that would yield useful letters of recommendation
3. Went to a completely shit college
I was a B student in highschool (3.2 GPA) with average intelligence who went to a mid-mid/low tier university and performed slightly above average but nowhere near competitive GPA wise (3.4) but was able to get into a top 15 US top 20 World graduate program just because I took the time to meet people, do research, do well on the GRE, and actually attend the information sessions on campus that nobody ever went to. Im now paid a little over $30,000 a year just to go to school and I get tuition, housing, and a meal plan paid for entirely by the school. Im just starting my 2nd year now and still have at least 3 years for my PHD but literally everyone in our program is offered some sort of industry job right out of college.
If I can do it I know for a fact all of you fuckers can too.
