swedes who are also germanic
french indeed, who are franks and therefore also germanic but... they speak a latin vulgate derivative.

Word origin matters too, don't let people steal the meaning through ignorance of the etymology.
A nice example is Apostasy, transliterated from Greek, but in english means heresy, more or less, but means "stand in rebellion against"
