After the election it was Abbott's call what to do, and FTTN was supposed to be cheaper or some bullshit and people are ignorant of the difference between FTTN and FTTH so they all thought cheaper = better, but I'm pretty sure it's ended up costing more anyway. Also it only would have been cheaper short term because now we're going to have to upgrade again in the near future. Pisses me off too
