so apparently anyone who lives in Denmark has to pay a Media Licence, which is around 350$ per year.
basically the idea is, if you have anything that can broadcast a signal of DR (the public media here in Denmark), like a TV, mobile phone, radio or a computer, you are obliged to pay this licence.
