>>50067172Even though there's a huge hate against the northeast here, i think it would be bad for Brazil in the long term to split into North+Northeast and South+Southeast+Center-west. If we start splitting, people won't want to stop. The south and southeast would find reasons to hate one another and split again, and the northeast, although together, would be just mediocre.
Also, our culture comes mainly from the northeast (people will hate me for saying this), just look and samba. MPB and bossa nova artists, and at that "stereotypical brazilian culture" of beying happy all the time and partying, and other things like that. I'm not saying everyone likes those things, but the majority do, so if north and south split, there wouldn't be an unifying culture anymore, so the states would probably split even more.
Even if they didn't split more, there's a LOT of important industrial and economical points in the northeast, so the new south and northeast would be just two mediocre countries
