Back around patch 1.05 (Sword of Islam I think), I could play CK2 on my old PC with a fucking Phenom X6, HDD drive and 2GB of RAM, and it played perfectly silky smooth without a single hiccup or lag at even 4-5 speed.
After all those expansions, the game plays like trash, saving takes up to 10 seconds late game on my SSD, menus can have 2-3 seconds delays in registering clicks, and if there is a huge war/revolt going on 1 day can take seconds to calculate on my overclocked i7 5820k.
I have a high-end PC that can't handle a game that worked perfectly on my old toaster 5 years ago.
Maybe Paradox should have focused the game on fucking crusades while trying to keep up with optimalization, instead of adding worthless Indian and steppe provinces nobody ever plays.
I'm so fucking mad you wouldn't even believe.
