Yes people celebrate it although it has some American influence now like Pumpkins. It's still tradition here to regard Halloween as the last day of Autumn. In modern Irish Samhain = November (technically Mí na Samhna = Month of Samhain), and Oíche Shamhna = Eve of Samhain = Halloween.
