Let me tell you about freedom.

When your leaders wake up, do they have to wonder if 320 million people will decide today is the day an army of pissed -off heavily armed citizens decided to physically yank the useless fucks out of their office and shoot them in the street, because the 230+ year-old charter they work under ensures that clause as a legitimate possibility?

When you travel abroad, does the very accent dripping from your words resonate like thunder in the heads of locals, invoking images of the most advanced, most widely deployed military on the planet in the history of the species turning its gaze towards them, their families and community if you suffer so much as a scratch in their presence?

Can you travel from desert to tundra to tropical island, to mountain-top and endless plains, touch half the worlds oceans, and still be safely in your own country? Do your borders expand so often in every century that your children instinctively look at maps as temporary renderings, not images of settled facts?

Do your enemies suffer the anguish of knowing no matter how much they would like to, no matter how much they want to, they cant touch you without shutting down their own economy and that of every single ally they have?

I wake up in a country less than two and a half centuries old that has already saved a continent, nuked an enemy twice, brought down the soviet oppression machine in less than two generations without firing a shot and can idle away the afternoon looking at pictures of another planet taken by our nuclear robots roaming there.

If you're not an American, you can't know what freedom is. Because you do not live under a government founded on the rejection of government itself. Your government decides you are a citizen first and human second. I decide what use if any my government serves, and if I dont like them, I fire their asses, and they go home thankful they survived...
