If Christianity is Judaism for dummies, by taking away all the commandments and leaving hippy aspects of the attitude (and in later iterations mixing it with other pagan religions), than Islam is retarded Judaism that corrupts ideas, rules and motives.
The differences can be exampled with the pig ban, as both religions forbid eating it- yet do so differently:
1. Judaism approaches it from a wide angel of thought, exploring ideas of ideology, morality, physiology, human anatomy, "laws of nature" and the construct of the spiritual world.
2. Islam ends the discussion with "it's haram because Allah said so to Muhammad". Their religious leaders offer some interpretations, but it's rarely goes any deeper than the previous statement.
At days end, Judaism sees itself as a religion enlightenment through understanding, studying and intellect. The idea is that G-d gave the Jews the Torah, a holy text and the word of G-d that isn't to be altered in any way. However, it's given to man to do as they will with that. Judaism rejects the notion of "because G-d said so". Instead, it encores to question laws and previous knowledge and investigate the reason G-d- creator of the world and it's laws (includes biology, psychics, mathematics,etc. that are seen as integral part of life and the spiritual world) would say so (only say so, not order so- and that's important semantic) with correlation of our worlds laws.
