Please tell me about the Troubles. It is poorly taught in the United States. All I know is that in the 1960s-2000s, Irish terrorists attacked British soldiers and civilians in Northern Ireland and occasionally in England because, I think, they wanted Northern Ireland to join Ireland. Were the terrorists Irish or Northern Irish? What was the conflict about and how was it resolved? What was the country of Ireland's opinion during it? I think the only other thing I know is that British soldiers beat down Irish civilians, but I heard that from an Irish guy whose opinion may be biased. Also, is red hair really common in Ireland?
