You can still use the machine without eamuse, so long as it passes the network check at boot time.

If the machines are turned on before E-Amuse goes down then you will be able to play without score saving.
If they're turned on after E-Amuse goes down, then you won't be able to play them at all.

With other competitive games you often have teammates that you can blame for failure or losing or whatever.
With rhythm games, it's just yourself and you know the only reason you failed to pass a song is because you suck.
This feeling makes me incredibly frustrated and upset with myself but I love it for some reason so I constantly play to try and improve.

The music is alright too
