>>27732731Seems like almost every time I see someone complain about the weight of the M14 platform they almost always have at least 2-3 extra pounds of scope and rail mounted to the rifle when they post a picture of theirs. not to mention a heavy bipod.
If anything it's a testament to the accuracy of the platform at longer than iron sight ranges but come on, you must admit it's not a battle rifle anymore once you mounted all that crap on.
This is pretty much why I have a lightweight ringed basset quick detach mount with a pre mounted scope and just use bags/sling if I'm going to do long range I just pull it off if I'm plinking or having fun running around.
point of impact also doesn't shift when remounting it too.
