Such a shame isn't it? America during WW2 could boast of having the best service rifle out of all the participant nations due to being semi-auto and carrying 8 rounds that could be reloaded so much faster than everyone else.

I think the french actually issued like 8000 F/A remington 8s during WWI.
Probably the best rifles in the war....definitely if they had the police mods to them i cant remember if they did or not.

20 rounds was totally standard at the time.
Nobody complains about the 20 round mag in the FG42, and that is considered to be one of the best LMGs of the war.

In 50 years, people will be asking why the AR-15 had such a small magazine too.

Very slow, very very slow. The BAR was almost twice the weight of the M1 in WW2, and the M1 aint light either.

And then if I had to guess something else, the uterus is a very muscular organ doesn't lend well to lots of pressure in the core area.
